Choose the right base for prints

Did you know that the same print will look different on different fabrics? The color intensity of the pattern on your future dress, shirt, furniture upholstery or bedding depends on the combination of fabric, ink and printing method. So, choose the right basis for prints. Take a look at the detailed description of each type of fabric for printing.

 

NATURAL FABRICS

GLAZED COTTON

 

Cotton 100%

This is a dense, light and silky soft fabric with an elegant sheen. It is breathable, hypoallergenic, and good for keeping you cool. This fabric is durable and virtually wrinkle-free.

Use

Perfect for children’s clothes, as well as shirts, light dresses, blouses, tops, sundresses, skirts, light shorts, loose-fitting pants, jumpsuits. Suitable for bed linen and home textiles.

Care

WASHING

Machine washable at 40°C, with bed linen, pillowcases and duvet covers turned inside out. Do not use aggressive products or spin at high speeds. Due to fine hygroscopic properties, this fabric dries quickly without wringing. It is recommended to shake and straighten the fabric before drying.

IRONING

Iron glazed cotton items at a temperature not exceeding 150°C, after turning them inside out.

COTTON POPLIN

 

Cotton 98%, elastane 2%

The interweaving threads form elegant and delicate ribs. The fabric is soft and elastic, breathable, hygroscopic, hypoallergenic; it forms soft waves and folds.

Use

Fabric for shirts, children’s clothing, light dresses, blouses, tops, sundresses, skirts, light shorts, loose-fitting pants, and jumpsuits.

Care

WASHING

For colored cotton items, we recommend hand washing in warm water at 30-40°C, or machine washing on delicate cycle, without soaking. For colored items, a special Color detergent is recommended.

IRONING

Iron at a temperature not exceeding 150°C. It is better to turn the products inside out.

TWILL

 

Cotton 100%

Mercerized cotton is used. The fabric surface shows fine ribs forming a diagonal pattern. Twill is notable for wear resistance and durability. It is hygroscopic, breathable, and wrinkle-resistant, it keeps its shape and does not fade.

Use

Twill is used for tailoring outerwear, trousers, jackets and even dresses; in interior design, for curtains, tablecloths, and napkins.

Care

WASHING

For colored cotton items, we recommend hand washing in warm water at 30-40°C, or machine washing on delicate cycle, without soaking. For colored items, a special Color detergent is recommended.

IRONING

Iron at a temperature not exceeding 150°C. It is better to turn the products inside out.

 

SYNTHETIC FABRICS

VISCOSE POPLIN

 

Viscose 100%

The fabric is soft, supple, and silky; it is breathable and has hygroscopic and hypoallergenic properties.

Use

Viscose poplin is used for light jackets, dresses, blouses, tops, sundresses, skirts, light shorts, loose-fitting pants, jumpsuits.

Care

WASHING

Dry cleaning or hand washing at a temperature not exceeding 30-40°C, without bleaches, solvents or other aggressive components. It is preferable to dry satin items by spreading them on a flat surface.

IRONING

Iron at a temperature not exceeding 40°C. Do not use steam while ironing.

VISCOSE CREPE

 

Viscose 100%

Viscose crepe is made from threads with a very wide (crepe) twine. A distinctive feature of crepe is the uneven grain of its front side. This fabric is durable, resilient and wrinkle-resistant.

Use

A great fabric for dresses, blouses, tops, sundresses, skirts, loose-fitting pants, jumpsuits.

Care

WASHING

Dry cleaning or hand washing at a temperature not exceeding 30-40°C, without bleaches, solvents or other aggressive components. It is preferable to dry satin items by spreading them on a flat surface.

IRONING

Iron at a temperature not exceeding 40°C. Do not use steam while ironing.

 

Synthetic fabrics

SATIN

 

Polyester 97%, Spandex 3%

In stores, this fabric can be found under the name Armani Silk. This fabric is very pleasant to the touch, with a smooth surface and a matte sheen. In appearance and properties, it is indistinguishable from natural silk. The fabric is dense, but some colors like white, beige, or pale pink are slightly translucent. Satin drapes elegantly, it is highly wrinkle-resistant and elastic in the weft (transverse stretching).

Use

Fabric for dresses, blouses, tops, sundresses, skirts, light shorts, loose-fitting pants, elegant slip dresses, or pajamas.

Care  

WASHING

Only in a delicate mode, at a temperature not exceeding 30°C. Do not use bleach or stain removers.

IRONING

Iron delicately or just let the garment dry on a hanger without ironing. Do not use a steamer.

DEWSPO

 

Polyester 100%

Textured synthetic fabric with a dense plain weave. Durable and lightweight fabric treated with a waterproof compound.

Use

Dewspo is used for outdoor clothing for spring and winter wear (raincoats, jackets, parkas).

Care

WASHING

Wash with neutral detergents in warm water at a temperature not exceeding 40°C, without soaking. Tumble dry at low temperature. Delicate dry cleaning may be used.

IRONING

Iron at low temperature (up to 110°C), after turning the items inside out. Do not steam!
